Our cellar has been selected to offer a wide variety of wines from around the world to suit every palate. Many of these are available by the glass.

In addition to our renowned Á la Carte restaurant, we can offer a special dining experience for up to ten diners in our private dining room.

Our Chef

Our Head Chef Stewart Anderson hails from Burns country and was born only half a mile from where Sir Alexander Fleming went to school.

Since graduating from Napier University in 1979 Stewart has worked and travelled all over the world. The journey to the Garth Hotel has taken him via: Santa Barbara in California, Faro, Portugal as well as both Sark and Guernsey in the Channel Isles and even Kelso in our own Scottish borders. Locally he has worked at the Muckrach Lodge in Dulnain Bridge, where he was awarded a rosette for the standard of food and the Cairngorm Hotel in Aviemore.

He is a keen Angler and Golfer and is a member of both local golf clubs in Grantown and Carrbridge, as well as being an active member of the Strathspey Angling Improvement Association.

As you would expect Stewart is enthusiastic about foreign travel and fishing abroad.

He has also owned his own business - a Restaurant/Inn just outside Perth.

We are all delighted that Stewart has settled at the Garth Hotel where he has been since 2003.
